This study on how the road maintenance budget affects the long-term condition of the Swedish national road network generated over 3000 media mentions, including hundreds of opinion pieces and editorials. It also formed the basis for two interpellation debates on road maintenance in the Swedish Parliament, and in 2024, the government decided to increase the road maintenance budget by 48% compared to the current level.
